LEARN / six lessons
Six lessons that cover most of the risk.
Each lesson explains how the attack really works, then gives you a few concrete actions and a myth to unlearn. Read them in any order; each takes about four minutes.
- Passwords & passphrasesWhy length and uniqueness beat clever symbols, and how one old password from a forgotten forum can open your email today.Lesson 1 of 6
- Phishing & social engineeringHow messages manipulate you, why a polished logo proves nothing, and the one habit that works even on a bad day.Lesson 2 of 6
- Accounts & two-factorWhat a second factor really protects against, which kinds are strongest, and why your email account comes first.Lesson 3 of 6
- Devices & updatesWhy an unpatched device is a known open door, and what a thief actually gets from a lost laptop.Lesson 4 of 6
- Data & privacyWhy personal details are raw material for attacks, how breaches spread, and the backup that turns a disaster into an inconvenience.Lesson 5 of 6
- Scams & moneyThe scams that never touch a computer: safe accounts, gift cards, invoice changes, and the one rule that beats them all.Lesson 6 of 6
How to use these
You do not need to become an expert. The attacks that catch most people are simple, repetitive and well understood, which means a small number of habits defeats most of them. Each lesson ends with two or three of those habits. Do those, tick them off on the checklist, and you are ahead of almost everyone.
